Biography
Anita Raj was born as Anita Raj Khurana on 13 August 1962. She was a successful actress in Bollywood in the 80's. Her debut movie was Prem Geet opposite Raj Babbar in 1982. Anita and her sister are trained in Kathak under the guidance of Gopi Krishna.

In Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani
Anita Raj is seen in the daily series Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani which airs on Zee Tv. She is essaying the role of Rajmata Priyamvada Devvadan Singh Deo. The show stars Sartaj Gill and Eisha Singh in the lead roles.

Anita Raj is the daughter of Late actor Jagdish Raj, who held a record of playing police based roles in over 144 movies. She has one sister Roopa Malhotra. While shooting for the film Karishma Kudrat Ka Anita fell in love with director Sunil Hingorani and they got married in 1986.

Anita Raj got married to Sunil Hingorani in 1986. The couple has one child Shivam Hingorani, who is assistant director and assisted in films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Agneepath.



Career
Anita has signed her first film Acha Bura but that film got delayed. Later she signed Prem Geet which turned out to be her debut film opposite Raj Babbar. The film was a runaway success. The pretty actress Anita made a splash in the 1980's when she did a series of successful potboilers specially with Sanjay Dutt and Dharmendra. Some of her hits are Naukar Biwi Ka, Jeene Nahin Doonga, Iljaam. She has also done television serials like Aashiqui, Eena Meena Deeka, 24 and many more.
